I’m Carla! And it means the world to me that you decided to stop by. We’re going to have so much fun together!!

The Beginning

When I came to America from Peru many moons ago, I never imagined where my life would lead me. Everything was new to me, including the language (that’s why sometimes you will “read” my accent) but one thing I was ready for was to learn, grow and embrace all the new adventures in my life.

Family

I’ve been blessed with the love of three beautiful daughters and an amazing husband who chooses to support my dreams no matter how crazy they are. After a shocking health scare, me and my husband decided it was time to go back to basics. We Googled and YouTube’d our way into beekeeping, then moved our family onto a farm in the most unlikely place, the Jersey Shore!

The Farm

I have gone from city to farm girl, created and developed Oak Hill Farms: a “good-for-you” brand, filled with farm to skin and farm to table natural products. We also built our barn: a retail space in the heart of Holmdel, New Jersey (yes! A farm on the Jersey shore) where our wish is for you to come visit us and experience the beauty of farm life and living more intentionally, hang out with our animals, and get to know us better.

My Book

This past year I had a one-of-a-kind opportunity which challenged me and pushed me outside of my comfort zone: I wrote a cookbook! Keepin’ it Real is full of easy peasy recipes that will become your family’s favorites and make you look like a true Queen in the kitchen :)
